Key Activities

  • Complete stakeholder mapping within first two weeks: identify all decision-makers, influencers, blockers, and potential champions across contracts
  • Conduct 1:1 introductory meetings with all contract Program Managers — focus on listening, not presenting
  • Meet with VP of Innovation weekly (30 min) to align priorities and surface early blockers
  • Identify 2-3 'lighthouse' relationships — PMs who are innovation-friendly and willing to pilot early
  • Map informal influence networks: Who do people go to for advice? Who has credibility?

Cultural Adoption Strategy

  • Identify early adopters vs. skeptics through initial conversations — don't fight skeptics early, cultivate allies
  • Frame innovation as 'making your job easier' not 'changing how you work'
  • Document resistance patterns and concerns for future reference
  • Find one visible skeptic to convert — their endorsement carries weight
